We are committed to delivering high-quality precision components to our clients and are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in both lathe and milling operations to join our team.
Position Summary: As a CNC Machinist at Univex Corporation , you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the accurate and efficient machining of components using both lathe and milling CNC machines. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams to deliver exceptional products to our clients. Ability to Program is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC lathe and milling machines, including loading tools, adjusting offsets, and selecting appropriate programs.
Machining Operations: Operate CNC lathe and milling machines to perform precision machining while monitoring the process for quality and efficiency.
Quality Control: Conduct in-process inspections and use precision measuring instruments to ensure that parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
Tool Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling, including tool changes and tool wear monitoring.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues, making adjustments or repairs as necessary to maintain production efficiency.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine setups, tool changes, and production data.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machining is required.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with expertise in both lathe and milling operations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Knowledge of G-code programming or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Use and understanding of UR Robotics is preferred or the ability to learn robotic machining.
