Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
  • Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, ensuring proper technique and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections with precision and aseptic technique.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and medical records.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide telehealth consultations using telemedicine platforms to extend care access and improve patient engagement in remote settings.

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in your practicing state or region.
  • Proven experience in clinical settings such as emergency medicine, hospital medicine, ICU, or critical care environments; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing.
  • Skilled in performing procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, sterile processing techniques, and airway management.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care), hospice & palliative medicine, assisted living residents, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to handle complex cases involving infectious disease care, pain management (including acute pain), occupational health issues, and post-acute care scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching topics like nutrition and medication adherence; capable of triage assessment in urgent care or emergency room settings. Pay: $112,961.71 - $136,039.91 per year
