University Radiology is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist for our East Brunswick, NJ Imaging Office.
Monday - Friday 730 am - 400 pm with rotating Saturdays
- Will be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.
- Operates and maintains all MRI related equipment QA/QC documentation for ACR Certification and Inspections.
- Responsible for ACR accreditation, collaborating with MRI Coordinator, URG Physicians and URG Physicist.
- Schedules all MR related equipment service and physics testing as needed.
- Responsible for overseeing patient safety including screening for contraindications. Obtains IV certification for contrast injections.
- Proficient in all software systems including images and report management.
- Assumes leadership role in communicating policies, training and providing feedback to complete employee performance evaluations.
- Manages stock, places orders while knowing the application and location of all supplies in department.
- May be required to assist with lifting patients for proper placement on exam table.
- Collaborates with MRI Coordinators, schedulers, front desk staff and other URG site managers as needed.
- Maintains adequate staffing. Work schedule may change based on staffing needs and unexpected issues.
- Completes all mandatory URG in-service classes annually and technical competency through continued education/credits.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- ARMRIT or ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
- CPR Certification required
- 5 years of current MRI experience on GE equipment preferred
- Prior supervisory experience a plus
- Excellent communication and Customer Service Skills
From $46/hr
The rate provided is based on industry standards for candidates with 0 - 5 years of experience. Salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, education and operational needs.
