Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Elementary School Teacher at University Prep Schools in Detroit, MI. The teacher will develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students’ academic needs, provide direct instruction in core subjects, and assess student progress consistently. Additional responsibilities include fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues and families, and supporting the overall academic and social development of each child.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Curriculum Development, Teaching, and Elementary Education
- Effective Communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge and experience in Education methodologies and child development
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification is required
- Past experience in a similar role is highly preferred
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse student and family communities
