What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Lecturer Assessment Facilitator position at University of Worcester?
The University of Worcester is seeking an Associate Lecturer able to support the development of our assessment processes in preparation for the MBChB National Licensing Assessment.
Under the guidance of our experienced assessment lead you will join the assessment team as an Associate Lecturer working at times to suit you. You will be a key addition to the team working to develop assessment items including single best answer multiple choice questions (SBAs) and objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs); support the set up, delivery and quality assurance of exams; support selection and training of simulated patients and real patient OSCEs in the clinical setting. There will be opportunities for student teaching and staff development.
This is a three month post and might suit someone on secondment for the duration of the contract.
NB. If you are successful at interview, you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers. In addition to assessment duties you could also be contacted for other ad hoc opportunities if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers and staff vacancy. The number of additional hours available might only be a few hours per week.
If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact Prof Kay Mohanna. Head of Department at k.mohanna@worc.ac.uk
Please note that this does not meet the minimum salary requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post who will require sponsorship to work in the UK.
Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).
