Job Duties
The Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Econometrics position beginning August 2026. This position will complement our active group of applied researchers. This is a full-time, nine-month, time-limited, non-tenure-accruing position.
Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate level classes. The successful candidate will contribute to our Graduate Econometrics sequence and undergraduate programs with a 2:2 teaching load. The department seeks candidates with a Ph.D. (or evidence of imminent completion) and a commitment to excellence in research leading to publication in nationally and internationally recognized journals.
Key Job Responsibilities
Department: College of letters and Science - Economics
Compensation: $100,000 - 105,000 (Final salary offer will be determined based on qualifications and experience)
Required Qualifications
The department seeks candidates with a Ph.D. in economics (or evidence of imminent completion)
Preferred Qualifications
A commitment to excellence in research leading to publication in nationally and internationally recognized journals.
