This position provides support to the Office of Clinical Experiences in the recruitment and arrangement of field and student teaching placements. In addition, this position will oversee the WIP internships available to multiple programs within the School of Education.
The scope of activities is broad, as this maintains extensive and continuing contact with students, faculty and individuals both internal and external the university. Strong organizational skills, time management skills, interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, expertise in Microsoft applications, and familiarity with the university's PeopleSoft student information system are required. Experience in Qualtrics application preferred.
This is a 50% fixed, renewable non-teaching academic staff position, reporting to the Director of Clinical Experiences.
Key Job Responsibilities
School Description: The Office of Clinical Experiences is responsible for arranging over 1,400 clinical placements each semester. We work with faculty and advising staff on the student teaching admission process and maintain close contact with principals, learning coordinators, and teachers to ensure rewarding placements in urban school settings.
Compensation: $23 - $30 Hourly, actual hiring rate will be based on experience related to the position

- May supervise the day to day activities of one or more academic programs and resolves issues exercising discretion to meet unit goals.
- Utilizes independent judgement regarding development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation for one or more academic programs, initiatives, or events
- Identifies program, needs, contributes to the development of unit workflows, schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, events, and interviews

- Bachelor's degree
- 2 or more years relevant experience (i.e. student services, advising, recruitment, PK-12 education, social work, educational administration or closely related)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills including office and qualtrics
