position in the Fleet Division of the Community Services Department.
This position performs skilled mechanical work in the maintenance,
servicing, and repair of automotive, truck, and other mechanical
equipment, including preventive maintenance, and general and major
overhaul work on equipment with diesel and gasoline engines. Duties
include repairing and maintaining mechanical devices such as
transmissions, clutches, hydraulic lifts, generators, differentials,
starters, and alternators; performing motor tune-ups and electrical
repairs; using a computer to process work orders; and much more!
