GENERAL SUMMARY:
In this role, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with licensed physicians to provide comprehensive care guided by established practice agreements. To assess, diagnose, and treat patients in line with approved protocols and guidelines. The patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics, also including mental health patients.
Education:
1. Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on adult and adolescent primary care.
2. Licensed as a NYS Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required; national certification suggested.
3. ACLS preferred.
4. Prescription privileges.
Skills Required:
5. Ability to demonstrate familiarity with diagnosis and treatment of Hep C required.
6. Ability to translate lab data into statistical reporting data required.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and be highly organized required.
8. Background in education and training and a strong knowledge in community resources is highly preferred.
As applicable, the individual is trained to address the specific needs and behaviors relevant to the age of the patients receiving care.
Compensation
Pay range for NPs and PAs: $62.40-$98.85/hr.
Salary : $62 - $99
