General Summary
The adult Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with licensed physicians, shall assist and supplement the Infectious Disease Care in the Clinic and Hospital setting. The practice is guided by the established practice agreements. The adult Nurse Practitioner can assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the Clinic or Hospital in accordance with established protocols and practice parameters. Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics, also including mental health patients.
Qualifications
Education/Skills Required:
The adult Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with licensed physicians, shall assist and supplement the Infectious Disease Care in the Clinic and Hospital setting. Qualifications
Education/Skills Required:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with forcus on adult and adolescent primary care.
- Licensed as a NYS Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required; national certification suggested.
- ACLS preferred.
- Prescription privileges.
- Ability to demonstrate familiarity with diagnosis and treatment of Hep C required.
- Ability to translate lab data into statistical reporting data required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment and be highly organized required.
- Background in education and training and a strong knowledge in community resources is highly preferred.
