Utah Naloxone/ Andy’s clinic has an immediate opening for a Research Coordinator, in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah Spencer F. Eccles School of Medicine.
The Research Coordinator is responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day research activities in accordance with Responsible Conduct for Research ( RCR ), study protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), Project Director (PD), and Program Manager, this role supports study initiation, implementation, monitoring, and close‑out activities. The Research Coordinator develops and maintains tracking tools, study documentation, metrics, and provides regular updates to leadership to ensure study objectives are met. Primary responsibilities include reviewing and abstracting data from historical medical records and charts related to pediatric overdose cases to support retrospective research analyses.
In addition to core research responsibilities, the Research Coordinator maintains organized internal records and research libraries and supports clinic operations, including data collection and administrative tasks for ongoing programs such as Andy’s Clinic. This role serves as a liaison to internal departments, external partners, community organizations, and government agencies, and supports planning and execution of clinic‑based and community outreach events. The Research Coordinator also provides education to clients and community members on naloxone use and overdose prevention, including risk reduction strategies, contributing to effective engagement and continuity of care across research and community programs.
