Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Contract Specialist, I: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.
Contract Specialist, II: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) 2 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
Computer skills to include EXCEL , Word, adobe, etc., strong communication skills, organized, and strong time management

Job Summary
- Manages clinical training agreements in conjunction with the Department of PTAT , College of Health, The University of Utah, Office of Risk Management, HIPAA regulatory office and external institutions site coordinators of clinical education, risk management, and legal representatives.
- Maintains the clinical education management system (Exxat).
- Facilitates active student Clinical Experiences and the clinical experience placement request process.
- Track and manage student compliance for clinical experiences.
- Clear written and verbal communication with clinical sites, faculty, and students.
- Facilitates the full-time and part-time placement request.
- Assists Director(s) of Clinical Education with planning and orienting new incoming students to the PT program/provide with annual updates of the Clinical Education Handbook/Manual.
- Collects and manages data information from PT CPI Web and Exxat
- Plan and organize logistics for local, state, and regional clinical education consortia meetings, conferences, annual Career Fair and other special events and workshops including travel process.
- Plans and organizes annual promotional “thank you” item ordering and mailing to clinical faculty.
- Delegates and oversee work performed by clinical education work study students, including effectively prioritizing and delegating appropriate tasks.
- Assists in expenditures accounting/budgeting for clinical education.
- Other duties as assigned.
