POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Assistant II supports the daily administrative operations of the office. Business Assistant II undertakes a variety of office support tasks and works diligently under pressure with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Preform overall clerical tasks of office.
- Insurance verifications.
- Oversee and handle check in and check out process.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Create and update records in Dentrix ensuring accuracy and validity of the information.
- Answer and route phone calls.
- Complete daily billing transactions.
- Handle all patient treatment prior authorizations.
- Collect money and discuss financial arrangements with patients; to include patient account balances and truth and lendings.
- Assist front desk as needed.
- Support leadership in assigned priority projects and makes proactive suggestions regarding opportunities for optimizations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Remember; these are minimal qualifications that disqualify candidates if they do not have)
- Education: HS diploma or equivalent
- Skills:
Proven experience as an office assistant or in another relevant administrative role
Working knowledge of dental practice management software, will train on our specific software
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in math and computer use
- Years of Experience:
1 years clerical and/or customer service experience
Experience in a Medical or Dental Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- Years of Experience:
- 1 Years’ experience in a medical office
