What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor position at University of the Pacific?
Minimum Qualifications
Must hold a master’s degree in social work from a program that is accredited by the Council on Social Work. Minimum of three (3) years of post- MSW experience in health care.
Preferred Qualifications
Academic experience in Bachelor or Master of Social Work Education. Clinical social work licensure or eligibility for licensure. Clinical supervision experience with MSW students and graduates. Doctoral degree in social work or related field. Practice and/or research specialization in one or more of the following areas: Medical/hospital social work Aging, palliative care, rehabilitation Community health Community mental health Integrated behavioral health care Healthcare evaluation/management Healthcare policy/advocacy Emphasis on social justice oriented social work practice in teaching and professional work. Strong knowledge, skills and experience in working with diverse students and client/patient populations. Awareness and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population through cross-cultural study, training, teaching, and other professional experiences. Experience with online pedagogy. Sincere desire for personal growth and development as an educator, including teaching, scholarship, and service throughout one’s career. Ability to work as a team with administrators, fellow faculty, staff, and students. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
