Job Summary
The Program Director of Dining and Contract Services will provide comprehensive support for University Dining and the College Park District by overseeing contracted third-party staff, managing budgets, and ensuring contractual and financial compliance. It leads customer feedback analysis, supervises billing operations, and delivers detailed financial reporting to the Director. The role also coordinates external events for the University Center and serves as the primary operational backup to the Director for Dining Services, Contracts, and External Events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Exercise functional oversight of contracted third-party staff, guiding priorities, workflow coordination, and performance expectations while respecting contractual boundaries.
- Provide direct feedback to Regional Vice President related to performance of Residential Director and team.
- Collaborate with University Dining to analyze and respond to feedback from surveys, Dining Committee meetings, catered events, and daily sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage and monitor spending for budget related to University Dining, controlling spending and maximizing profits.
- Oversee Dining and College Park Districts contracts to ensure compliance with financial milestones and contractual obligations.
- Supervise the Billing and Invoicing Specialist to ensure accounts are current and budget activity is accurate and balanced for the entire department.
- Provide financial analysis on spending and income to Director related to all budgets within the department.
- Coordinate external events for the University Center, managing client meetings, A/V requirements, and catering arrangements.
- Serve as primary back-up to the Director in the areas of University Dining Services and College Park District.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of professional experience overseeing dining operations on a college campus and/or commercial real estate experience or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of professional experience overseeing dining operations on a college campus and/or commercial real estate experience.
- Experience supervising full time and/or student staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient knowledge in computer operation, specifically in Microsoft Office and other UTA applications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with individuals, teams, departments, and external partners.
- Ability to to efficiently organize project development and management.
- Ability to dedicate and focus on the future and culture of University missions and growth.
- Ability to engage in advocacy of school attendees, alumni, and guests of UTA.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Other Requirements
- Must have a valid Class C driver’s license issued in Texas.
