Job Summary
The Principal Research Scientist works with the Antibody Discovery Program, powered by Bruker’s Beacon Discovery Platform. The Vice President for Research and Innovation (VPRI) will support the Antibody Discovery Program Principal Scientist for 14 months.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead scientific operations of the antibody discovery program using the Beacon Discovery Platform.
- Design and execute high-throughput screening campaigns for therapeutic antibody candidates.
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners on contract research and feasibility studies.
- Apply AI-driven modeling and bioinformatics tools to optimize antibody selection and development.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to workforce training initiatives.
- Prepare and present scientific findings through publications, conferences, and webinars.
- Support scale-up and translational efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of hands-on experience in antibody discovery, protein engineering, or immunotherapeutics.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of hands-on experience in antibody discovery, protein engineering, or immunotherapeutics.
- Experience with computational modeling and AI-driven antibody development.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in antibody discovery and development.
- Familiarity with high-throughput single cell screening platforms and cell-based assays.
- Isolation of RNA synthesis cDNA and sequencing on various platforms.
- Immunizations of animals, including mice and other species.
- Handling human blood.
- Proficiency in bioinformatics and data analysis tools.
- Ability to lead scientific projects and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across academic and industry teams.
- Professional presentation and scientific writing skills.
- Demonstrated track record of scientific publications or patents.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on innovation and translational research.
- Professional analytical and problem-solving skills
