Job Summary
**ARRT or ARDMS Certifications Required**
- Performs optimum, safe diagnostic and screening breast ultrasound exams accurately and proficiently, following departmental protocol. Responsible for Breast Ultrasound QA program and ensuring compliance to ACR Breast Ultrasound Accreditation.
- Coordinate, review and prepare for daily ultrasound schedule.
- Notify patients of benign results as instructed by radiologist.
- Perform follow up calls to biopsy patients as needed and provide documentation on procedural progress note.
- Assist with patient workflow for diagnostic evaluations.
- Mammography Certification and experience in addition to Breast Sonography is preferred.
Requirements:
- Breast Ultrasound ARRT or ARDMS Required: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- ARRT Mammography : American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and
- Mammography Certification preferred in addition to Ultrasound Certification
- BLS : Basic Life Support
- 1-2 years Breast Ultrasound experience preferred
- Has detailed knowledge of three dimensional spatial and cross-sectional anatomy and of common physiological and pathological processes.
