Project 10: Transition Education Network is Florida’s statewide discretionary project supporting the secondary transition of youth with disabilities from school to post-school activities. It is funded by the Bureau of Exceptional Student Education (BEESS), within the Florida Department of Education (FDOE). Project 10’s primary charge is to assist school districts in providing appropriate secondary planning and timely secondary transition services and programs to assist youth with disabilities as they become adults. Project 10 also serves as a collaborative resource for state agencies, IDEA-Funded State Projects, non-profit organizations, and families as they provide secondary transition services for students served in exceptional student education. This project is housed within the Division of K-16 Educational Initiatives, under the College of Education at USF, Saint Petersburg campus.
Position Summary
A Program Planner/Analyst (PP/A) is a professional who promotes, develops, coordinates, and/or evaluates programs and services provided by an established USF program to meet the needs of a community or group served by the program. The PP/A participates in the management of resources and the delivery of services to clients, development of promotional materials, and the analysis and evaluation of program effectiveness. This position serves as a liaison between community and university partners to support the overall mission of the institute, center, or program. This position is responsible for performing professional work that is substantially varied in nature under general direction from Program Directors, Assistant Program Directors, or other appropriate administrators. There are a variety of work procedures and work products with substantial discretion in assignments
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the position responsibilities, such as education, communications, data analysis, program evaluation, business administration, etc. Strong organizational skills, writing skills, and the ability to collaborate with all Project 10 staff and external contacts are essential. Three years of professional experience in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.
Preferred Qualifications: A Master’s degree in a field related to the position responsibilities, such as education, communications, data analysis, program evaluation, business administration, etc. Strong organizational skills, writing skills, and the ability to collaborate with all Project 10 staff and external contacts are essential. Experience with Excel spreadsheets and familiarity with the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros. Five years or more of professional experience in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.
FLSB1310 Equivalency
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

Responsibilities
- Acts as lead for website revision and web communication; maintains and updates information regularly to ensure currency of information; and applies consistent web standards and guidelines for style, content, and code consistent with university and project computer use polices and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Develops and maintains data entry and collection methods for a statistical database to determine impact; analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate program effectiveness. Uses Excel to hold and manipulate data to provide seamless analysis options.
- Perform data collection and reporting functions necessary to deliver and document stakeholder learning; program development; progress-tracking; and manage the collection and organization of interactive reports from Project 10 staff that document the completion and reporting of the project’s deliverables.
- Supports print, webinar and media communication initiatives for Project 10 as needed.
- Assists with the formatting, proofing, and editing of informational and instructional materials for the project’s products, such as trainings, guides, Topical Briefs, booklets, brochures and Project 10 FaceBook posts.
- Work Collaboratively with community partners, funding organizations, and the university to facilitate needs of stakeholders and the project.
- Perform duties as required in support of the department, grant, or program, including, but not limited to, standard reports, and other specific requirements of a project or grant.
