Dean of the College of Sciences and Engineering

The University of South Carolina Aiken (USCA) invites applications for the position of the Dean of the College of Sciences and Engineering. Expected start date: July 1, 2027.

The Dean provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of the College, including teaching, research/creative activities, intellectual development, program development, advancement, administrative management, and representation of the College both within and outside the University. The College of Sciences and Engineering consists of the following departments: Mathematical, Computer Science, and Engineering; Psychology; Biological, Environmental, and Earth Sciences; Exercise and Sports Science; and Chemistry and Physics. The Dean will report directly to the Provost.

Responsibilities of the Dean include, but are not limited to: faculty recruitment, development, evaluation and promotion; management of financial, personnel and physical resources; supervision of relevant accreditation processes; cultivation and stewardship of alumni and community relations; collaboration with partners within and outside the university; securing and facilitating external funding, both public and private.
