Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s department of Environmental Services is seeking to hire two Environmental Services Aide I positions. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions
- Performs routine housekeeping and custodial functions.
- Maintains tile and terrazzo floors and carpeted areas by scheduled vacuuming with appropriate equipment.
- Cleans offices and classrooms including furniture, light fixtures, and chalk and dry erase boards.
- Replenishes chalk and empties all trash receptacles.
- Scrubs restroom areas, commodes, urinals and lavatories.
- Applies deodorizers and germicides in proper areas.
- Refills soap dispensers and towel and tissue paper holders.
- Polishes mirrors and plumbing fixtures and cleans light covers as needed.
- Cleans all glass that can be reached by step ladder.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
