Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s department of Environmental Services is seeking to hire three Environmental Services Aide I. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
- Performs routine manual work performing housekeeping and custodial duties.
- Maintains terrazzo floors and carpeted areas by scheduling vacuuming with appropriate equipment.
- Cleans offices and classrooms including furniture, light fixtures, and chalk and dry erase boards.
- Replenishes chalk and empties all trash receptacles.
- Scrubs restroom areas, commodes, urinals, and lavatories.
- Applies deodorizers and germidical in proper areas.
- Refills soap dispensers and towel and tissue paper holders.
- Polishes mirrors and plumbing fixtures and cleans light covers as needed.
- Cleans all glass that can be reached by step ladder.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
