Job Purpose
The University of Scranton's Leahy College of Health Sciences (LCHS) is accepting applications for an open rank, tenure track faculty position in the Department of Physical Therapy. This full time, 9-month position will begin in Fall 2026 and involves teaching, service, and scholarship responsibilities. Primary teaching opportunities include pediatric, therapeutic exercise, and clinical management courses with collaboration on curricular assessment. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. There will be an opportunity for expedited tenure-track status for those demonstrating a record of scholarly achievement.
Essential Duties
The candidate must be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
Expectations also include an understanding of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit education with effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
Minimum Education Requirements
The successful candidate will be a licensed physical therapist with an earned academic doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD) in a field relevant to physical therapy.
Preferred Education
Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to those with clinical experience in a pediatric physical therapy setting and teaching experience in a physical therapy program.
