The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Head Golf Coach. Saint Francis is a Catholic, Franciscan university in the liberal arts tradition. The Head Golf Coach will report to the Assistant Athletic Director and will have responsibility over the entire golf program including the players, recruitment, retention, coordination of schedules, and external relations. This position will also ensure the university's Catholic identity, Franciscan charism, and commitment to the liberal arts remain at the center of our educational mission and public identity. The Head Golf Coach is responsible for assisting the Assistant Athletic Director in advancing the university's efforts in implementing the new mission statement and strategic plan.
The successful candidate must demonstrate willingness and ability to support and actively contribute to this Catholic and Franciscan mission and these values of the university. This position is responsible for the operation of the entire golf program, including service to players, recruitment and retention of student-athletes during the golf season, supervision of assistants, coordination of game and practice schedules, and external relations. The Head Golf Coach will operate the program within the guidelines established by the Assistant Athletic Director and in accordance with the goals of the University of Saint Francis. The ideal candidate must have an understanding of the Catholic faith and be able to guide student-athletes through their faith journey during their time at Saint Francis. This position will serve as a coach and instruct student athletes on how to perform their sport. The new Head Golf Coach is expected to begin serving no later than 6/1/2026.
