What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Athletic Trainer: Swim/Dive position at University of Pittsburgh?
Individual serves the Athletic Department as an athletic trainer. The incumbent is responsible to provide comprehensive athletic training services to the swim/dive program or other teams as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer. Incumbent will assist Head Swim/Dive Athletic Trainer with the coordination of the overall organization and administration of the Fitzgerald Field House and Trees Pool Facility; maintain accurate medical files; assist with maintaining accurate inventory and control of all supplies and equipment; assist Head Swim/Dive Athletic Trainer with scheduling and follow-ups of medical appointments, diagnostic testing and professional consultations; liaison between physicians, coaches, parents and athletes in regard to injury prevention, care, management, treatment and rehabilitation; maintain a positive learning environment for clinical education of athletic training students.
BOC Certification for Athletic Training or Registered for BOC Certification Exam
Pennsylvania Athletic Training License or license pending with application in process
CPR/AED certification
