Essential Functions
- Coordinate and manage all employment-based visa processing for Faculty, Staff, Post-doctoral Associate and Scholars, and Visiting Scholars within the Department of Medicine, including initial requests, extensions, transers, and amendments.
- Collect, review and verify required immigration documentation, and submit complete and accurate visa materials to the Office of International Services (OIS) in compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate appointment, reappointment, and personnel processes for Post-doctoral Associates and Scholars, ensuring accuracy in university systems and compliance with institutional guidelines.
- Coordinates termination and non-renewal processes for Post-doctoral Associates and Scholars, serving as a liaison between the Office of Academic Career Development (OACD), division administration, and PIs on performance-related matters.
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain reports related to visa activity, international hires, and related budgetary impacts, and provide data & reporting as requested by department leadership.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders through written correspondence, telephone, and meetings to ensure timely completion of HR, visa and appointment-related processes.
