HR Generalist
Slippery Rock, PA | Full-Time
McClymonds Associated Companies is seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and eager to support both daily HR operations and long-term department growth.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, and leave of absence processes
- Support benefit enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
- Serve as a backup support for payroll processing as needed
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Assist with onboarding new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the organization
- Coordinate offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews
- Maintain and update employee files and HR documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
Employee Relations
- Support resolution of employee concerns and grievances while promoting team morale and workplace harmony
- Act as a liaison between employees and leadership to encourage clear communication
- Assist with recruitment and hiring processes to attract and retain the right talent
- Willingness to “work in the weeds” of HR operations while helping the department grow and evolve
Policy Development & Compliance
- Help create, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and ethical workplace practices
Performance Management
- Support managers in conducting performance evaluations and employee coaching
- Assist in tracking goals and development plans
- Contribute to employee training and professional development initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required
- Equivalent work experience may be considered
Experience
- 3–5 years of HR experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge across multiple HR functions

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Solid understanding of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $45,000 – $75,000 annually (or $21.64 – $36.05 per hour)
Compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
