Essential Functions
- Analyzes financial information submitted by applicants using established federal and University standards and guidelines to determine financial needs; selects candidates and determines the type and amount of financial aid to be awarded.
- Assists in the preparation of student financial assistance policies for the University.
- Corresponds and conducts interviews with applicants and their parents, counsels’ students, and answers inquiries from various sources on financial aid policies and procedures.
- Assists in making application for federal funds for government loan programs; administers rules and regulations set forth by the federal government concerning government funds.
- Coordinates and administers assigned financial aid loan programs such as private loans, federal plus loans; develops and implements new initiatives within assigned program areas.
- Reviews detailed reports to stay in compliance and resolve loan errors to avoid longer loan disbursing delays.
