What are the responsibilities and job description for the Faculty Instructor Adjunct position at University of Pittsburgh?

The First-Year Engineering Program is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach one section of the first-year engineering course (ENGR 0012-Intro to Engineering Computing).

Main Responsibilities Include

Teach one section of the first-year engineering courses, Spring 2026 semester, scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00-6:50 pm, Room 229.
Prepare materials to be used in class.
Provide an active learning environment for students.
Create and write assignments and quizzes with the other first-year engineering faculty.
Attend weekly meetings with the first-year engineering faculty.
Grade, along with all TAs and instructors, exams, and assignments.

Applicants must have engineering degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels and have prior teaching experience.
