Overview
The ECE Spring Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026 (morning). Due to the size of the graduating class and the extensive coordination required, we recommend hiring a temporary staff member to assist with planning and execution from February through May 2, 2026. The person in this position will work closely with the ECE Undergraduate and Graduate Program Administrators throughout the preparation and event period.
Key Responsibilities
The Temporary Staff Member Would Handle
Managing graduate registration and waitlist and communicating with ~150 students.
Overseeing email communications via the departmental eceevent account.
Coordinating with the Marketing team for pamphlets and tickets.
Collecting and compiling graduates’ presentation slides into a single slideshow.
Liaising with venue, catering, and AV teams, including livestream support.
Preparing seating charts and seat numbers, distributing tickets, and coordinating signage.
Managing volunteers for setup, registration, and ushering on the event day.
A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and/or background in event management, logistics, or communications.
