General Description/Primary Purpose
The Department of English is seeking a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Writing. Position responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load or its equivalent, and service.
Supervisor: This position will report to the Department Chair.
Working Hours: Varies by assignment, but expected to be weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.
Required Licensure: N/A
Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026.

The selected candidate will be required to submit official transcripts (and, as applicable, U.S. degree equivalency evaluations) documenting the conferral of their qualifying academic credentials by the date of hire.

- Awarded a Master of Arts in English, or comparable graduate degree, by the start date of employment.
- Candidates must have teaching experience at the university level, or equivalent experience preparing curriculum and planning.
