Summary/Responsibilities
- Enforce all facility rules, policies, and regulations.
- Recognize and respond effectively to incidents and emergencies. Provide proper emergency care (first aid/
- Identify hazardous conditions eliminate or minimize them.
- Report
- Complete all required records and reports.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized pool area.
- Attend all staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
- Act in a professional manner at all times. Provide quality customer service.
- Adhere to all employee policies, rules, and regulations as outlined in
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Must be at least 17 years of age.
Must Possess Current Certification In One Of The Following
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (or equivalent); or
- American Red Cross Community First Aid and Training (or equivalent); or
- American Red
Must Be Able To
Swim/Tread/Swim
- Swim 150 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used followed by
- Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Candidates should place their hands under the armpits.
- Additional 50 of front crawl / breaststroke
- Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed.
- Surface dive, feet-first, or head-first, to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object.
