General Description / Primary Purpose
This is work coordinating and performing recycle and refuse collection on the university campus to include operating large dump trucks, pickup trucks, utility vehicles with tow able carts, forklifts and other equipment in a safe and legal manner while performing the duties of gathering these materials for resale or disposal from throughout the campus and transporting them off campus to recycling vendors when required.
Job Function
Close supervision. The incumbent's work is reviewed by the supervisor for accuracy and to ensure instructions are being followed.
Required Qualifications
Completion of ninth (9th) grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Some positions may require possession of a classified drivers license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.

The holder of this position is designated as a Responsible Employee pursuant to their role under Title IX. Job Function
- Collection of refuse and recyclable materials.
- Processes recyclable/refuse materials.
- Disposes of scrap metals.
- Disposes of surplus equipment.
- Tables/chairs set-up requests.
- Supplementary responsibilities.
- Assist supervisor with coordinating daily departmental operations
- Possess work orders in work management system
- Special set-up requests
- Graduations
- Provides manpower during events
- Cleans up after events
- Receives and delivers supplies
- Assists other departments as needed
- Assist with any other Physical Facilities responsibilities as requested by supervisor.
- This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.
