$19.16 HourlyGeneral Description / Primary Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services Communications, the Enrollment Communications Specialist is responsible for completing communication projects and requests. This position will also act as a liaison between Enrollment Services departments and the Enrollment Services Communications team to assess needs and help develop a comprehensive communication strategy with a focus on meeting enrollment goals.
Job Function:
- Write, design and edit content for a variety of projects (e.g. outgoing emails, text messages)
- Work with other departments (e.g. Admissions, Welcome Center) to understand and assist with communication needs
- Assist in the development and implementation of communication plans and campaigns geared to the unique needs of prospective and incoming freshmen and transfer students
- Promote admissions events via communications to help with UNF’s recruitment efforts
- Adhere to brand guidelines and visual identity across all communications
- Create queries for communications to ensure the appropriate populations are being targeted
- Stay up to date with best practices and emerging technologies, as well as various recruitment and communication strategies
- Assist with implementing the University’s enrollment and strategic goals through communications
Marginal Functions:
- During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off-campus location or place of residence
- Additional duties as required
Departmental Requirements:
Ability to produce creative and engaging content for target audiences
Knowledge of (or ability to learn) Associated Press style
Experience using Microsoft Office applications
Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and use initiative and personal discretion to complete projects
Experience using the Slate CRM (or ability to learn) for the purpose of creating and sending communications
Desire to learn and grow marketing and communications skill set
Must work well independently and as a constructive member of a team.

Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization; or a high school diploma and four years of experience directly related to the job functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
