| Primary Purpose of Position | The Lead Vehicle & Equipment Technician serves as the senior technical leader within Fleet Management and supports the daily operations of the Service Center by providing advanced diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, quality assurance, and technical guidance for University vehicles and equipment. This position assists with coordinating workflow, supporting technician development, promoting safety, accountability, Service Center audit readiness, and a continuous improvement culture rooted in 5S principles and operational efficiency. The Lead Vehicle & Equipment Technician helps ensure fleet assets, equipment, tools, and shop operations are maintained in a safe, reliable, organized, efficient, and customer-focused manner in support of University operations. |
