University Development’s purpose is to support the mission of the university by raising private resources to enhance financial support for students, faculty, programs, and facilities. University Development provides leadership and centralized services to all development offices throughout the University, serving as a focal point for annual giving, application development and IT support; campaign management; constituent programs; corporate and foundation relations; donor relations; gift planning; gift services; industry relations; marketing/communications; parents giving; principal gifts; prospect management, research and analytics; regional programs; scholarships and student aid; talent management; university events; and volunteer engagement.

Position Summary
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

The Schools and Units Lead Administrative Coordinator will report to an Assistant Vice Chancellor on the Schools and Unit team. The Schools and Units Lead Administrative Coordinator will provide comprehensive professional support to the assigned Assistant Vice Chancellor. The duties include administrative support and logistics, travel management, communications, finance/budget management, and other duties as assigned. The position will perform an extensive range of highly visible activities such as communication with various university and external constituents at multiple levels.

The Schools and Units Lead Administrative Coordinator is responsible for independent problem solving, answering questions, providing information, and taking action on behalf of the assigned Assistant Vice Chancellor and others as authorized. This position must analyze, prioritize, and keep track of multiple pieces of complex and often confidential information in order to make accurate, efficient recommendations regarding workflow, and provide facilitation and processing of information and verbal and written correspondence. The individual must facilitate completion of work at a rapid pace on time-sensitive matters with routine interruptions. All of the above must be done with minimal errors and utmost professionalism in an office whose priorities must adapt to evolving needs and demands from within the University and with strategic partners.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2. Ability to work in a high paced or complex environment
3. Ability to prioritize work amidst multiple demands to meet deadlines
4. Demonstrated knowledge of such software/programs as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook calendar
5. Experience in a higher education administrative environment
