Job Description
- Contact prospective new and existing customers (primarily retail businesses) to sell print and digital advertising.
- Make sales and service calls on a list of established clients for newspaper and online advertising.
- Inform customers of upcoming special section advertising opportunities and other advertising –related services available.
- Act as liaison between customers and production staff by advising clients of advertising deadlines and meeting production deadlines.
- The successful applicant should be very deadline-oriented.
- Some collection on overdue advertising balances.
- Active participation in community events (i.e. Chamber of Commerce), participation in Missourian event marketing opportunities and other personal contacts in order to establish business relationships within the community.
- Facilitate and mentor students in Advanced Media Sales.
- Other duties as assigned.
Shift
8-5 Monday – Friday. Occasional nights and weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary: $37,142.28 base commission
