Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is recruiting for a Child PhD/PsyD psychologist in clinical or counseling psychology for a non-tenure track Assistant Professional Practice Professor faculty position.

The clinically focused faculty member will work primarily at MU Healthcare’s Woodrail Child Psychiatry clinic. The position will provide psychotherapeutic services to children and collaborate with other clinical providers as part of an interdisciplinary team. Other responsibilities include supervision and instruction to Psychiatry residents and Medical Students, and participation in other aspects of academic life, including research collaboration and serving on academic committees. Opportunities for consultation and collaboration with partners across MU Health Care may be possible. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Missouri and will have a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program and will have completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship prior to the start date.

Candidates will be evaluated on: Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrated commitment and competence in providing evidence-based clinical services for a wide variety of presenting mental health concerns in the outpatient clinical setting. Specialized training and experience in DBT, CBT, and/or MI is highly desirable
