Role Description
This is a full-time remote role as a Senior Research Software Engineer at the University of Miami Health System. The role involves designing and developing advanced software solutions to support pioneering research, implementing algorithms, analyzing datasets, and optimizing computational performance. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, the Senior Research Software Engineer will advance research through high-performance computing (HPC) and contribute to impactful scientific projects.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Computer Science and proficiency in Software Development methodologies.
- Ability to conduct Research and apply advanced Data Science techniques to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
- Experience and knowledge in High Performance Computing (HPC) applications and optimizations.
- Proficient in problem-solving with a focus on delivering efficient and scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work on cross-functional research teams.
- Bachelor's degree required, Ph.D. or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in academic or healthcare research is a plus.
