Job Description
The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, is searching for an Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic cardiovascular team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge, patient-centered environment, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of Complex and High-Risk Indicated PCI (CHIP) and Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) revascularization.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures for patients with complex anatomy or high procedural risk, such as complex coronary interventions, including CTO revascularization.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients, ensuring timely diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Engage in clinical research to advance the field of CHIP/CTO interventions and contribute to publications and academic endeavors.
- Participate in the teaching and training of medical students, residents, and fellows within the cardiovascular department.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest techniques and technologies vascular and ensure integration into clinical practice.
- Provide leadership in the expansion of CHIP/CTO services within the institution and across outreach locations.
- MD or DO degree, board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology and with a focus on CHIP/CTO procedures.
- Extensive experience in performing complex interventions, including CTO revascularization.
- Strong academic and research background, with a desire to contribute to advancing clinical practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient care excellence, quality improvement, and education.
