Position Summary: The University of Miami's Cardiovascular Division, Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced and visionary Medical Director to lead the development and expansion of the Structural Heart Disease program within our esteemed UHealth System. This leadership position presents an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of cardiovascular care, education, and research within our institution and the broader medical community. Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the comprehensive development of the Structural Heart Disease program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, education, and research initiatives. Foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, develop innovative treatment protocols, and drive clinical excellence within the field of Structural Heart Disease. Oversee and actively participate in clinical activities, including patient consultations, outpatient care, and invasive procedures within the Cath Lab. Lead and support research endeavors within the program, facilitating the exploration of new treatment modalities, clinical trials, and academic publications. Spearhead educational initiatives, including mentoring, teaching, and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering a culture of academic excellence and professional development. Collaborate with administrative leadership to ensure the program's compliance with institutional, regulatory, and quality assurance standards, while also facilitating program growth and sustainability. Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certification in Cardiology with specialized training and expertise in Structural Heart Disease. Proven leadership experience within a healthcare setting, preferably in an academic or research-focused environment. Strong record of academic accomplishments, including publications, research grants, and active participation in scholarly activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with diverse stakeholders. Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Florida.
