Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics
Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology
Duties & Responsibilities:
Clinical duties include Neonatal Attending in the Neonatal Services at Jackson Main, Jackson South and Jackson North Hospitals providing medical care for neonates in these units on a 24 hour 7 days per week rotational schedule.
This include providing antenatal consultation for high-risk pregnancies, assistance with the care and stabilization of infants in the delivery rooms, providing medical care in the pediatric intermediate unit, and conducting daily rounds on patients in the different neonatal special care units.
Some administrative duties within the division and the Newborn Service are also part of the job.
Active participation in teaching and educational activities of pediatric residents, neonatal fellows and medical students are also included in this position.
The job also requires development and participation in original research either clinical or translational for which extramural funding should be sought.
Requirements:
Active Florida Medical License
Board Certified in Pediatrics
Neonatal Board Eligible or Neonatal Experience Preferred
