Job Requirements
Under the direction of the Manager of Cancer Registry and Accreditations, and principle investigator plans and carries out key elements of a clinical research project in order to achieve optimal clinical and quality outcomes by effectively managing care and resources.
Work Experience
Ability to (a) coordinate clinical research activity, (b) ethically communicate the risks and benefits of participation in clinical trials to patients and family, (c) handle multiple priorities, (e) work independently and take initiative in achieving expected results. Demonstrated skills in: (f) monitoring IRB and FDA clinical research policies and standards (g) making effective decisions, (h) problem-solving, (i) crisis management (j) verbal and written patient and staff educational presentations, (k) organizing work, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, (l) attention to detail and follow through, (m) policy/protocol development, (n) effective negotiation, (o) working with physicians and multiple-specialty team members to coordinate delivery of care, (p) ability to work successfully with diverse types of individuals including, management staff, external organizations and the general public, and (q) is computer literate with proficiency in word processing, Excel, and data management skills.
