Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed specifications for multiple trades involved in projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on trade requirements.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and documentation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Identify potential issues and provide effective solutions to mitigate risks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Journeyman’s license in one of the following areas: Electrical, Plumbing, Steamfitter, HVAC or a certification in electronics from an appropriate technical school preferred.
- Four years of experience in the primary licensed/certified trade. Two years valid technical experience in the secondary area of expertise with the ability to perform quality workmanship in accordance with accepted standards.
- No experience required if entering Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program.
- Proven experience in a multitrade specification role or similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of various trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and construction.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant certifications or technical training is a plus.
