I am recruiting highly motivated PhD or Master’s students to join my research group at University of Maryland Eastern Shore and work on a newly funded NSF project focused on developing biosensors for the characterization of blood cells.
The project will involve interdisciplinary research at the interface of biosensors, microfluidics, biomedical engineering, mechanical/electrical/optical sensing, and cell characterization. Students will gain hands-on experience in device design, fabrication, experimental testing, data analysis, and biomedical applications.
Applicants with backgrounds in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with biosensors, microfluidics, cell-based assays, microscopy, signal processing, or machine learning is a plus, but not required.
The position includes full financial support through a graduate assistantship.
