What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Coordinator position at University of Louisiana Monroe?
Works with the Director of Recreational Services to ensure the effective daily operation of the Activity Center, University Park, and Heard Stadium.
- Coordinates the member management system with the Business Operations manager including: maintaining/updating the participant data base and works with the computing center and the business operations manager to generate the student downloads for ULM students each semester.
- Maintains accurate records for daily/monthly Activity Center participation.
- Coordinates the compilation of the Rec Services annual report.
- Coordinates and ensures complete set up for activities/events scheduled in the Activity Center, University Park, and Heard Stadium for both internal and external events. Including intramural, wellness, spirit groups as well as outside events.
- Assists with daily maintenance with the Activity Center, University Park, and Heard Stadium. Including mowing, weedeating, hanging temp fences, and general maintenance that may be needed.
- Coordinates facility and equipment maintenance for the Activity Center, University Park, and Heard Stadium.
- Assists the Director of Recreational Sports and spirit groups in managing the daily operations of the Activity Center, University Park, and Heard Stadium.
- Orders supplies as needed for the Activity Center, University Park, and Heard Stadium.
- Directly responsible for scheduling events in the Activity Center and Heard Stadium and assists with scheduling events for University Park.
- Maintains a master schedule of events for Rec Services.
- Works cooperatively with other University user groups including but not limited to: Student Development, Spirit Groups, SGA, CAB, Athletics and Academic Departments.
- Assists the Director on major plant renovations and long-term physical plant projects as well as equipment acquisition.
- Attends, as needed, university events. PREP, POP, Job Fairs etc.
- Oversees Service Master Janitorial services.
- University liaison with ULM summer camps held in the Activity Center. Varsity, NCA, etc.
- Assists with food pantry operation.
- Completes all training as required by ULM.
- Performs other University duties as assigned.
- Bachelors in Recreation/Fitness or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience in on-campus University Recreation.
- Proficient in the current trends in on-campus recreation fitness, capable of troubleshooting and maintaining facility fitness equipment, both cardiovascular and strength training equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Word, Power- Point and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Salary : $35,000 - $45,000
