Position Title: Upward Bound Math Science Academic Counselor
Department: 2820|Special Services
Responsibilities:
The Upward Bound Math Science Program (a federal U. S. Department of Education Trio grant) is designed to serve and support first-generation and/or low-income high school students. The program is under the supervision of the Director of Special Services, who reports to the Dean of University College.
Applicants are invited to apply for the Upward Bound Math Science Academic Counselor position (a 12-month position). The job responsibilities are as follows:
- Responsible for recruiting and providing academic counseling and services to

- Hold individual and group counseling sessions with participants at target schools

Skills, Abilities, Etc.:
- Able to travel, including overnight trips for training and/or student programming.
- Must have vehicle to travel to target area school sites to conduct participant activities, information tables and recruitment, parent meetings, etc.
