Job Responsibilities
- Conduct R&D on power systems operation, microgrid control, and energy resilience analysis.
- Develop and validate real-time simulation models (preferably Typhoon HIL).
- Collect data, analyze and optimize outage response, grid stability, renewable integration, and fault responses.
- Collaborate on power electronics prototyping and testing.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Site visits and data collection.
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in electrical engineering.
- Expertise in power systems/microgrid operation/control and real-time simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with Typhoon HIL or similar HIL platforms.
- Proficiency in energy resilience analysis and power electronics.
- Peer-reviewed publications in power systems/microgrids.
- Experience with HIL testing and programmable source/load systems.
- Knowledge of AI and optimization algorithms (e.g., MILP, metaheuristics).
- Coding skills (Python, MATLAB) for simulation/data analysis.
- Prior industry or government collaborative projects.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
