Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach courses within the Doctor of Clinical Exercise Physiology program and the Healthy Living Practitioner Certificate.
- Oversee students providing exercise interventions within the Medical Exercise Therapy Clinic and have regular meetings to review the updates on the program and patient progress.
- Manage the Physical Therapy Faculty Practice's Cardiac Rehabilitation and Exercise Stress Testing program's database. Analyze and disseminate findings through manuscripts and conference presentations.
- Mentor students in the Doctor of Clinical Exercise Physiology program
- Manage collaborative clinical and research projects.
- Manage day-to-day office operations. Interview, hire, orient, lead, mentor, and evaluate staff to meet departmental and organizational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
- PhD in Exercise Science or related field
- Previous experience in development and delivery of exercise in patients with chronic diseases
- Previous experience as an educator in the class, laboratory or clinical setting
- Record of scholarship (i.e., peer reviewed publications and/or extramural funding
