Classification Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent. Computer skills for WORD, EXCEL, and/or ACCESS are needed. Training can be provided. Must have excellent communication skills and be dependable and organized.
Job Description:The Department of Pathology, Immunology, and Laboratory Medicine's Molecular Pathology Core (MPC) is recruiting for a part-time, OPS Lab Assistant. The regular hours of work are from 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Duties include:
- Customer service
- Receiving and releasing submissions for services
- Printing and labeling cassettes
- Sample processing and embedding
- H&E staining
- Slide labeling
- Archiving
- Maintenance and cleaning
- Other tasks as assigned
$15.00 - $18.00 based on experience
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent. Computer skills for WORD, EXCEL, and/or ACCESS are needed. Training can be provided. Must have excellent communication skills and be dependable and organized.
Preferred:Previous experience working in a lab
