Role Description The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is a full-time role with benefits. This position supports the design, implementation, and supervision of strength and conditioning programs, with primary sport responsibilities of: Men's Soccer, Women's Lacrosse, and Softball.
The coach will collaborate closely with sport coaches, athletic trainers, and other athletics staff to align physical preparation with competitive and academic schedules. Additional duties include maintaining weight room organization, assisting with the sports nutrition program, and supervising graduate assistant coaches and interns.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Strength & Conditioning program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Skills in Injury Prevention strategies, including movement assessment and corrective exercise.
- Relevant certification (e.g., CSCS, SCCC or equivalent) and adherence to professional standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching, medical, and academic support staff and to communicate clearly with diverse student-athlete populations.
